These photos are taken on my Kincraig to Port Caroline
Railway.
The railway is modelled on the old South Australian Railways narrow
gauge (3'6'') division in the south east of South
Australia. The narrow gauge ended in the south-east in 1959 when
the lines were converted to broad gauge (5'3'')
I live in the sea-side suburb of Semaphore Park in Adelaide, the
Capital City of the State of South Australia.
The locomotives and rolling stock are scratch built in styrene
to 1/24th scale.
the first photo shows 2-6-0's Yx162 and Y104 double heading through
Lucindale Station which is about the mid-point on the
railway. the next photo shows 4-8-0 T197 arriving at Lucindale
from Reedy Creek. The last shot shows Alco diesel No865 at
Lucindale. This was taken several years ago. Lucindale looks a
little more overgrown these days.
So far Lucindale is the best location for Photos as the garden
here is better developed.
The line is an end to end layout following the boundaries of my
property and designed for operation. The motive power is all
battery powered and radio controlled. No track power is used.
The track is hand layed in code 250 brass rail.
Hope you like the photos.
Best Wishes,
Trevor Powell.
